EAC Sponsored Community Outreach and Education Programs

Annual Family Stream Ecology Event

For many years the EAC has hosted a family friendly stream ecology event featuring Noah Grill, recreational program manager & educator.  Families have been able to enjoy learning about our community’s streams while enjoying the beauty of Bonner Park.  This EAC hosted event has become increasingly popular with kids and adults alike.  Kids and adults alike got the chance to check out local animals and insects (think frogs & crayfish) with provided nets, a field microscope, and tanks.  The grab bags included for kids are always a big hit too!

Trees for a 10

Trees for a 10 has become one of the most popular offerings the EAC & Thornbury Township provide to our residents.  Trees and shrubs consistently sell out each year!  It’s great to see our yards thrive with new additions to the natural environment.

Here are the 2025 offerings:

  • Allegheny Serviceberry
  • Carolina Silverbell
  • Flowering Dogwood
  • Northern Catalpa
