Once again, we will be using our Voting Precinct boundaries to enable us to more efficiently schedule the bulk trash pick up.   Here is the procedure:

  • Bulk Trash will be picked up by Voting Precinct as shown in the attached map.  Below are two (2) options to determine your precinct:
  • Bulk trash will be picked up per the schedule below:
    • May 1 - Voting Precinct #1 - REGISTRATION CLOSED
    • May 8 - Voting Precinct #2 - Registration ends May 1
    • May 15 - Voting Precinct #3 - Registration ends May 8
    • May 22 - Voting Precinct #4 - Registration ends May 15
    • May 29 - Voting Precinct #5 - Registration ends May 22
  • As in the past, registration is required.  If you have not registered with the township by your precinct's registration date, we will be unable to pick up your trash.
  • All bulk trash items should be placed on the roadside in front of resident’s home the night before your pick-up day. Please note:
    • Items may be picked up by different trucks so do not be concerned if only some of your items are picked up at a time.  The remainder will be picked up by a different truck(s).
    • In the unlikely event your item is not picked up by the end of your pick-up day, please contact Susan Daudert at 610-399-8383, ext.101 or email susan [at] thornbury.org
Pricing:
  • $30.00 for 3 non-freon items, $60 for 6, etc. (mattresses, furniture, televisions 26" and smaller)
  • Televisions (All sizes over 26": flat screen, CRT (old style), etc.) - $50.00 each
  • Freon Items (Air Conditioners, Refrigerators, Freezers) - $60.00 each
  • Washers and Dryers - $55.00 each
The following items will not be picked up:
  • No computers and computer peripherals
  • No tires or organic material

No refunds.  If you register for bulk trash but it is picked up by another trash hauler, no refund will be issued
