Thornbury Township recently received a grant to help fund a comprehensive park and open space plan. The goal is to develop a plan that will help guide the township in the development of recreational opportunities. This starts with a review of parks, open space and walking trails, and eventually the recommendation of how to further develop the prospects these spaces have to offer.
We are seeking an array of representation from township residents to form a committee. Ideally, the committee will consist of 7-9 members. This Steering Committee will meet regularly for approximately 6 months and produce a living document that will act as the blueprint for future development of our outdoor recreational spaces. If you are interested in participating, we will be taking letters/emails of interest until early October and make selections soon after the application process is closed.
