“INTRODUCTION TO BIRDING” - EAC WALK

Date: September 24, 2016
Time: 1:00 PM

Participants will walk at least a mile around the fields of Thornbury Park for an hour to an hour and a half. Children must be accompanied by an adult. This is your opportunity to get an introduction to the hobby of birding. Receive pointers on correctly using binoculars, learn the basics of bird identification, and bird calls from a local expert. Bring your own binoculars if you have them. Our feathered friends move quickly and binoculars are set to each person’s eyes. The walk will be led by John Mercer, a Thornbury Township resident. John leads bird walks for West Chester Bird Club, Longwood Gardens and The Friends of Exton Park. John is a frequent birder on the Luckenback Trail and at Squire Cheyney Farm Park. Join us for some outdoor fun with friends and family. Joins us and help maintain our beautiful walking trails. Volunteer for an hour or more and learn about the great trail system in Thornbury Township.
