The Board of Supervisors Public Meetings are held on the first (Public Meeting) and third (Work Session)Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m., in the Township Administration Building, 6 Township Drive, Cheyney, PA. 19319


Recent Actions:

July 19, 2017

  • Resolution 2017-16,the Culp Preliminary / Final Minor Subdivision Plan located at 420 Thornton Road, as per the conditions detailed in the Resolution, and the Township
  • Engineer’s review letter was approved.
  • Payment to General Sewer Service, Inc. to perform Line Cleaning and Video
  • Inspection of storm sewers along L’Enfant Court and Garnier Way, in the amount of $3,940.00 was approved.
  • Participating in the Delaware County Municipalities Salt Contract Consortium for the 2017-18 Season, was approved.

August 1, 2017

  • The Thornbury Township Board of Supervisors held a Special Public Forum on at the Glen Mills Schools for informational purposes on Pipeline Awareness and Safety Preparedness.

August 16, 2017

  • Resolution 2017-17,  the Crane Subdivision Planning Module and approval same to the DEP for their consideration, was approved.

September 6, 2017

  • The Palmer Arboretum Eagle Scout Project presented by Stephan Griffith, was approved.

September 20, 2017

  • The Thornbury Park Eagle Scout Project presented by Josh Howat, was approved.

October 4, 2017

  • The 2017 Contributions to the Concordville Fire Department in the amount of $65,000.00, the Edgmont Fire Department in the amount of $37,000.00, and the Chester Heights Fire Department in the amount of $28,000.00, were approved.

Previous Actions:

March 1, 2017

  • A contribution to the “Walk for the Wounded Foundation” in the amount of $1,000.00 for their 2017 campaign, was approved.
  • The extension granted on the “Daniels Subdivision Final Plan”, extending the action date from March 13, to June 11, 2017, was accepted.

April 5, 2017

  • On a motion by James Kelly, seconded by James Raith, and carried unanimously, Resolution 2017-9, adopting the Delaware County 2016 Hazard Mitigation Plan, was approved.

May 3, 2017

  • The proposal to clean up brush and take down dead trees in the Township Open Space, along Creek Road from Station Road to Locksley Road was approved.

June 7, 2017

  • The Agreement of Sale of Vacant Land, for the purchase of approximately 2.25 acres (adjacent to park property), known as Lot 3 Glen Meadow Drive, from David & Diane Lindstrom, to Thornbury Township was approved.
