The Board of Supervisors Public Meetings are held on the first (Public Meeting) and third (Work Session)Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m., in the Township Administration Building, 6 Township Drive, Cheyney, PA. 19319


Recent Actions:

March 1, 2017

  • A contribution to the “Walk for the Wounded Foundation” in the amount of $1,000.00 for their 2017 campaign, was approved.
  • The extension granted on the “Daniels Subdivision Final Plan”, extending the action date from March 13, to June 11, 2017, was accepted.

April 5, 2017

  • On a motion by James Kelly, seconded by James Raith, and carried unanimously, Resolution 2017-9, adopting the Delaware County 2016 Hazard Mitigation Plan, was approved.

May 3, 2017

  • The proposal to clean up brush and take down dead trees in the Township Open Space, along Creek Road from Station Road to Locksley Road was approved.

June 7, 2017

  • The Agreement of Sale of Vacant Land, for the purchase of approximately 2.25 acres (adjacent to park property), known as Lot 3 Glen Meadow Drive, from David & Diane Lindstrom, to Thornbury Township was approved.

Previous Actions:

February 1, 2017

  • Approved the advertisement for the bids for the 2017 Road Program, based upon the list of streets presented to the Township Engineer.
  • Resolution 2017-7, observing the week of February 19th through the 25th, 2017, as National Engineer’s Week, was approved.

February 15, 2017

  • The solicitation of bids for televised inspections of sewer sections, as recommended by the Township Sewer Engineer, was approved.

March 1, 2017

  • A contribution to the “Walk for the Wounded Foundation” in the amount of $1,000.00 for their 2017 campaign, was approved. Chairman Raith called for comment. Vice Chairman Kelly commented that Thornbury Township residents can take pride in this contribution and he explained where, and to whom the donations go, and detailed the event.

April 5, 2017

  • Resolution 2017-9, adopting the Delaware County 2016 Hazard Mitigation Plan.

April 19, 2017

  • Resolution 2017-10, conditionally approving the “Fraley Property, Final Minor Subdivision Plan” application, made by Phillip Fraley, located at 430 Glen Mills Road, was approved.
